Structured Coaching - Without the Full-Time Commitment

Not ready for fully personalized coaching, but still want a proven, structured plan created by an experienced cycling coach? BJL Coaching Training Plans offer a smart, flexible way to train with purpose—while still having access to Coach Brian’s expertise when you need it.

These plans are ideal for cyclists who want guidance, structure, and accountability without the ongoing commitment of full-service coaching.

What’s Included

More than 'Just Workouts'

Every BJL Coaching training plan delivers more than just workouts. You’ll receive a complete, easy-to-follow training system designed to help you train smarter and ride stronger. Included with every plan: 
- A fully structured training plan delivered via TrainingPeaks
- TrainingPeaks account setup (or connection to an existing account) 
- Daily workouts with rest days clearly outlined
 - Downloadable workouts for:
      - Garmin, Wahoo, Lezyne head units
      - 
TrainingPeaks Virtual, Zwift, Rouvy, and other platforms
​      - 
Strava upload compatibility
- A Workout Guide explaining how to execute each session
- Zone-setting instructions (power, heart rate, or RPE)
- Threshold-setting guidelines to ensure correct intensities
- One 30-minute Zoom consultation with Coach Brian (a $75 value — included at no extra cost)

Available Training Plans

10-Week Tune-Up Training Plans

Designed to give you a meaningful fitness boost during the season and prepare you for upcoming rides or events.

Who These Plans Are For

These plans are ideal for cyclists who:
- Want a structured, proven plan without full coaching
- Are preparing for an upcoming ride or event
- Ride consistently (at least 5–7 hours per week)
- Prefer flexibility but still want expert guidance
- Want workouts that integrate easily with group rides
- Train with power, heart rate, or RPE

Before starting, athletes should be comfortable riding several times per week
​ and have a basic fitness foundation.

How the Training is Structured

Each week typically includes:
- 6–8 hours of riding
- Weekday sessions capped at 90 minutes
- Two rest days per week
- One longer and one shorter weekend ride
- Flexibility to move days as needed
- Ability to substitute group rides for endurance or intensity days when appropriate


Athletes with more time or a larger base can extend select workouts to fit their needs.

  1. Purchase your training plan
  2. Coach Brian sets up or links your TrainingPeaks account
  3. Choose your preferred start date
  4. Your plan is delivered automatically in TrainingPeaks
  5. Download workouts to your device or platform
  6. Schedule your included 30-minute Zoom consultation at any point during the plan
