Coach B.L. has been constructing and instructing indoor classes since 2003. From what began as a few teammates in his basement, these sessions have evolved into multi-week classes with capacity crowds. Training with a coach during the cold and dark winter months is the best way to make effective use of your time, and indoor training sessions surrounded by other athletes is very motivating.
Contact Coach Brian for information on upcoming indoor training classes or to hire him for leading indoor training sessions at your workplace, bike shop, or gym.
Make the most of your indoor training time, and make it enjoyable!

About Our Trainer Sessions: This will be our tenth year of holding the trainer sessions and we're super excited to get started again on January 8, 2019. We have a great ten weeks of classes planned out for you, but even if you can't make all ten, you will benefit from any class you can attend. The enthusiasm of the group would be hard to match and the motivation levels are super high. Each class will be one hour and forty five minutes long, including warm-up and cool-down, and led by professional bicycle racer and coach, Brian Lariviere. Over the ten weeks, Coach Brian will lead us through a series of drills and intervals, each building upon previous classes. We welcome beginners and experienced cyclists.
Our participants over the last four years included triathletes, road racers, mountain bikers, time trialists, crit specialists, cyclocross racers, the weekend warrior, and just those looking for a fun way to get fit over the winter. We had both men and women, from mid teens to mid seventies. Yes indeed, mid seventies!
All you need is your bicycle (road bike or mountain bike with slick tire on the rear) and a stationary trainer. It’s helpful, but not necessary, to have a heart rate monitor, cadence equipped bike computer, adjustable resistance trainer, and the ultimate training tool—a power meter. Any of these items can of course be purchased at Cycle Craft to enhance your training experience.
Cycle Craft offers trainers and bicyles for rent. If you are in need, please contact the shop directly. Cycle Craft--(973) 227-4462 Please note that the shop is closed on Wednesday, so you'll need to make arrangements ahead of time.

G.S., Cat 1 Masters Mountain Bike Racer: Brian, Really good workout last night. It is amazing how hard it can be if done correctly. I noticed there wasn't much chatter during the class last night as we all gasped for air. Im still amazed how you can talk (instruct) as well as you do when im (we're) all barely able to breathe. Well done - I feel like im really getting good work out of the sessions. Greg
J.S., Lake Placid Ironman 2013: "I came out of the winter with a significant advantage and better prepared for his specific spring training thanks to the trainer sessions. This allowed me to be properly trained for Ironman Lake Placid!"
C.B., Avid Cyclist: "Hopefully you got out riding today. Just wanted to pass on a kudos to you, I did about 50 miles today and felt strong. Thanks to your classes my "stroke" felt great and complete- I'm using more of my hamstrings (one leggers in class). Thanks again, and see on Wed."
C.S., Avid Cyclist: "Very cool! I love this class."
T.R., Cat 1 Racer: "I love the classes, it makes spinning on a trainer fun and different. my normal training sessions are dull in comparison due to zone training. This class allows you to participate to your level. Instruction is clear, the 2 hours fly by, and it is a highlight of my week (training wise of course). I can not wait to see how these sessions translate to the road!!! Thanks Brian!!"
C.W., Cat 1 Masters Mountain Bike Racer: Really enjoyed your classes, thanks for the push into the season Cliff
